After three conferences in Los Angeles, the NSBE Aerospace Systems Conference is moving to the Washington, DC metropolitan area.  This is one of the largest aerospace communities in the United States, with both the FAA and NASA Headquarters, as well as the Pentagon, just a few miles from the conference hotel.  NASA Goddard Space Flight Center is nearby in southern Maryland and the region is also home to numerous military facilities with aerospace missions including Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, Joint Base Andrews, Fort Belvoir, Marine Corps Air Facility Quantico, Patuxent River Naval Air Station, US Naval Obsevatory, and the US Naval Research Laboratory.  Numerous aerospace corporations are also headquartered in the metropolitan area from northern Virginia, into Washington DC, and into southern Maryland as far as Baltimore, including Northrop Grumman and Lockheed Martin.  Dozens of small aerospace businesses support these agencies, military bases, and companies.  The capital area is also home to NSBE's World Headquarters, located in nearby Alexandria, VA.
